R.Chandrashekhar to chair Program Advisory Board of e-GovWorld 2008

Additional Secrectary e-Governance and the main force behind planning and deployment of National e-Governance Plan of Government of India, Government of India will chair the PAB of e-GovWorld 2008 and guide the formulation of agenda in line with priotities of the sector.

The agenda for e-GovWorld 2008 tracks on Governance for Development, Mobile Government and Open Solutions Public Administration will be finalized under the overall guidance of Mr. Chandrashekhar.

It has been planned that the core groups for various tracks consisiting of prationers from government , development agencies and industry will be formed to steer agenda for different sessions. The members of the core group will be responsible for initiating consultations with stakeholders in the run up to the conference and for producing overall recommednations for consideration by government agencies.

The mission of the conference is to accelerate the e-Government programs to enter second phase where focus will be on on access to all and inclusive development . The mission mode projects for deliberations during the conference e-District, Panchayati Raj Institutions, Public Distribution System, Commercial Taxes and Digital Literacy initiatives.

Mr. Chandrashekhar has played a leading role in shaping the National e-Governance Program for India and successful deployement pf some of the mission mode projects.
